Day 1&2 Chundu Cottage, Livingstone

You will be met on arrival in Livingstone and transferred to Chudu Cottage where you will spend the following two nights.

Situated on the grassy banks of the Zambezi River just 25km upstream from the mighty Victoria Falls, Chundu Cottage boasts stunning views of the Zambezi River. The cottage is located in a game-rich area and sightings of hippo and elephant, among other animals are common.

Chundu Cottage is a private 3 bed-roomed thatched house separate from Chundukwa main lodge (2 double/twin en-suite plus 1 Kids room with bunkbeds) featuring a lounge, splash pool and deck overlooking the Zambezi River.

Included in your stay is a guided tour of the Victoria Falls & a sunset cruise on the Zambezi River. Additional activities available from the lodge at a cost include canoe trips, horse trails and tiger fishing. All other Livingstone activities can be arranged through the lodge.

Day 3&4: Elephant Valley Lodge, Chobe Forest Reserve

Following breakfast the guests will be transferred by vehicle and boat to Elephant Valley Lodge for the following two nights.
Elephant Valley Lodge lies hidden in the Lesoma Valley in the Kasane Forest Resrve, nestled between Botswana and Zimbabwe, only a few kilometres outside Kasane. The lodge is set amongst massive camel-thorn trees and overlooks a large waterhole which attracts regular herds of elehpants offering twenty four hour game viewing.
Elephant Valley Lodge offers twenty traditional meru-style safari tents with comfortabe furnishings and each with private ensuite bathrooms. The public areas consist of a dining room and bar as well as a beautiful terrace with magnificent views overlooking the waterhole. There is a swimming pool for your enjoyment in the hotter months and spacious grassed grounds in which to relax.
The lodge includes two activities per day from the following options, game drives into the adjacent Chobe National Park, night drives in the Chobe Forest Reserve as well as boat cruises on the Chobe River. The high elephant population is staggering in the Chobe region and their regular visits to the waterhole offer an incredible sight – you barely need to leave the lodge to have a real Chobe elephant experience!
In addition to huge numbers of elephants, the Chobe area and National Park is home to a high buffalo and lion population which can provide dramatic game viewing. There is also an abundance of wild game and bird life.

Day 5,6&7: Lagoon Camp, Kwando/Linyanti

Following breakfast, the guests will be transferred to Kasane airport (approximately 2 hour transfer), for their onward air transfer to Lagoon Camp, where they will stay for the following three nights.
Lagoon Camp is situated in the Kwando Reserve, a huge private reserve covering 2,300km². Most of its western side is dense mopane forest, but along the Kwando River is a band of lush riverine forest, interspersed with open plains. The area attracts superb big game, especially during Botswana's dry season when elephants may seem to be everywhere.

Lagoon Camp accommodates up to sixteen guests in comfortably appointed twin-bedded safari style tents overlooking the lagoon. The tents have en-suite facilities, his and hers basins, flush toilet and a spacious outside shower. The camp has a plunge pool, lounge, bar, gift shop and dining room with a shady area overlooking both the lagoon and a favoured spot where elephants come to drink.
At Lagoon Camp, the activities concentrate on open vehicle game drives and boat cruises. A special feature of Lagoon Camp is the river boat experience. The flow of the river enables the boat - a double decker - to drift with the flow in silence - perfect for bird watching and game viewing. Game walks are on offer but are at the guides' discretion due to the concentrations of elephant. Lagoon Camp offers off road and night game drives, offering guests to see the fascinating nocturnal wildlife in the area.
Fishing is also a specialty here and those who are keen will have an opportunity to catch the fighting tiger fish, bream, catfish and pike. Fishing can be done from the front of your tent at Lagoon due to its situation, but please note that fishing opportunities vary throughout the year. Kwando Safaris subscribes to the catch and release policy, but exceptions can be made if you wish to eat your fish.
Please note that Kwando Safaris game drive vehicles do not have an overhead canopy. Kwando Safaris believe this is to their client’s advantage for optimal photographic and game viewing opportunities. Please note that this may not be suitable for some clients due to exposure to the elements.

Day 8,9&10: Kwara Camp, Okavango Delta

Following the morning activity (time permitting), guests will be transferred to Kwara Camp by light aircraft, where they will spend their last 3 nights on safari.
Kwara Camp is situated on private concession on the edge of the permanent waters of the world renowned Okavango Delta in Botswana, and shares a common boundary with Moremi Game Reserve. The area offers a combination of permanent water, seasonal flood plains and pans, open grasslands as well as extensive dry bush and scrub which creates a great game viewing destination throughout the year.
The eight luxury safari-style tents are built on raised decks, within a grove of huge and ancient African Ebony trees. Each tent has an ensuite bathroom with the luxury of a bath and indoor/outdoor shower and a private deck with views across the floodplain. There is a lounge, bar and dining area in the central lodge as well as a plunge pool and gift shop. Evenings can be enjoyed around the boma area.
Kwara is renowned for being a camp that offers a year round delta experience on a diverse range of activities including mokoro trips, guided walks with armed guides and motorboating trips through the waterways. In addition day and night game drives are taken to explore the area which offers spectacular scenery with scattered herds of plains game and ever-attendant predators.

Optional Extension to Camp Kalahari

For those guests that choose to extend their safari to include Camp Kalahari, the will be transferred from Kwara to Camp Kalahari for day 11 & 12, returning to Maun on day 13.

Camp Kalahari is nestled amongst the Acacias and Mokolwane palms of Brown Hyaena Island, on the edge of Makgadikgadi Salt Pans, adjacent to the Makgadikgadi-Nxai Pans National Park.
The style of the camp is refreshingly simple, it is cosy, comfortable and traditional Guests can relax in a traditionally built thatch library, living and dinning area and in a separate lounge strewn with cushions. The camp has 6 twin spacious Meru tents with en-suite bathrooms, flush toilets and running water. Comfortable beds, crunchy cotton sheets and stripy African blankets.

Activities include interacting with the meerkats, walking with Bushman Trackers, game drives, a visit to Greens Baobab, quad biking and sleeping out in the pans (dry season only).
